About Us
Letting Kids be kid around the world
Kids Day Out International is an organization that was born out of the desire to let kids be kids around the world. Our Mission is to give children the opportunity to enjoy their childhood by creating fun memories and adventure for them, their families and friends.
Our Story
Kids Day Out international (KDO) is a non Governmental Organization that was founded in November 10th 2014 by Blessing Eguke Ojie. KDO was born out of the desire to liberate children from growing up too quickly and enjoying childhood. Some kids are not allowed to be kids because they are born into situations and circumstances beyond their control and as such made to miss out of all the experiences and memories a child ought to have. We are here to build the bridge between the struggle and challenges every child goes through daily especially in underprivileged neighborhoods and connect them with possibilities in life.
Our goal is to reach out to children and enhance their life experiences in a fun and memorable way. As a child growing up, I was thinking about reaching out to children even as a child myself. It has always been in my heart to reach out to children especially those in rural areas or poor neighborhoods who cannot enjoy what a lot of kids are enjoying or be in a position to create some fun memories with friends and families. Research has shown over the years that there is a clear link between play and brain development, motor skills and social capabilities. All learning, emotional, social, motor and cognitive skills are improved and enhanced by the pleasure of play. Having this in mind, I decided to make this a reality by making sure children have the opportunity to be kids again and enjoy the little things of life.
